Hey Shaiza. The world record is a static breath hold of 8 minutes and 6 seconds "perpetrated" by Martin Stepanek. (Martin)

World champion freediver Guillaume Nery unique performance at Dean's Blue Hole, the deepest blue hole in the world (202 m - 663 ft) filmed entirely on breath hold by the french champion Julie Gautier.

Totally unimaginable. I have heard of AIR Atmospheric free fall. But, what is this? How much time has elapsed? How can a person hold their breath that long? What kind of training does one do to perform this feat? How is it the buoyancy of the water does not prevent him from going to the bottom? thanks for sharing.
