Permalink Reply by William Fredric Vennard on September 23, 2009 at 12:33pm: Successful case- hives progressing to anaphylaxis-14 yr. old female{now 32} woke up 1 morning covered literally from head to toe with large{one to one and one half inch} red hives, slightly elevated- later in evening presented prodrome of anaphylaxis-assymetricaly swollen face, but especially lips and tongue,begining to wheeze with frightful facial expression.Immediately took her to E.R. where she received shot of epinephrine which Temporarily relieved symptoms. Next day , again woke up with numerous hives, but also noticed a round ,tan spot on her inner thigh with a very small dark center-probably caused by insect or small spider bite. These symptoms continued to recur daily with no relief in sight; {at this time i was not actively studying homeopathy} but after 3 more trips to E.R., remembered that i had a bottle of apis m. and also recalled the red line symptomology of this rem. She took one dose of apis m.{4,5 pilules} 6x during the day- within about 1,2 hours hives began to dissapear; by next day, no trace of them. Permalink Reply by William Fredric Vennard on September 25, 2009 at 8:45am: Successful case-left sided trigeminal neuralgia{tic doloreaux} After receiving severe physical trauma to left side of my face in 1987- 4 yrs. later I began experiencing paroxysms of extreme pain on left side of my face -mainly upper,lower jaw,cheek extending from cheekbone downwards. My allopathic doctor diagnosed it as trigeminal neuralgia, prescribed some strong pain med., altho he said it would most likely not relieve pain, which it did not. After several bouts of this , I learned that the prodrome consisted of numbness, tingling and panicky, extreme fear of the pain that would always come. Remembered this fear seemed to be very similar to the fear of aconite, altho mine was more rational. Still, the next time I felt the attack coming on , was able take 5 pilules of aconite, 6x- the severe pain started, but within 1 minute or less,pain completely stopped- attack was aborted- this had Never happened before, and have not had this problem since- 19 yrs. later. Very interesting!
Aconite is considered a very short acting medicine for acute cases. Moreover 6X is a low potency and it is advised to be repeated as its action is short. To have cured permanently by just a dose of five small pellets sets one’s mind to think that there are exceptions to all rules!; ▶ Reply to This

During ensuing 2 mo. period she was taken to pediatrician{allopath} 5 times, each time given different antibiotics, none of which helped condition. At end of 2 mo. period when I was contacted{ Feb. 2009}, she presented symptomology of white coated tongue more pronounced at back, nasal discharges white and very thick. Was given 1 dose of Kali Mur, 30 c-2 pilules dissolved in spoon of purified water- next day had an aggravation of earache. After that NO earaches until June. After 3 days of same earache, same symptoms present at 1st dose {white tongue, white, thick nasal discharges} was again given 1 dose of Kali Mur, but remedy was diluted in glass of purified water and succussed 10 times and given in 2 teaspoon doses, half an hour apart.. No aggravation this time-no more rx.NO more earaches whatsoever to present day. Child seems much happier,is developing rapidly-knows colors, several shapes, is communicating in 2, 3 word requests and statements,etc. Allopathic pediatrician examined her ears about a wk. later and said there was no sign of "infection", no sign then of any ear problems and seemed surprised. "During fasting, any kind of food or drink is prohibited. One day I felt severe headache. It was not possible to take any medicine orally, so I put a drop of glonoin 30c, rubbed and smelled it. Believe you me within an hour headache disappeared completely.

In sixth edition, aphorism 269 fn 2, Hahnemann says " On this account it refers only to the increase and stronger development of their power to cause changes in the health of animals and men if these natural substances in this improved state are brought very near to the living sensitive fibre or come in contact with it
( by means of intake or olfaction)......."

I had a case of my colleague, an E.N.T. Surgeon, who had severe frontal headache after he had a late night study. I gave him Nux vomica 200, 10-15 globules of 30 no., moistened with medicine in a phial and asked him to smell from it every 10 minutes. He left the college with the medicine and called me after his first olfaction saying he felt better. And when he reached home (after 35 mins) he had no pain.

I tried the method of olfaction in cases of unconscious patients and in children when oral medication was not feasible.

It works marvellously,(provided the medicine selection is correct) all can try and comment.; ▶ Reply to This

“But, why so soon? You only came back less than two months ago! ” I exclaimed.
Sir, my wife is pregnant, is in her nine month and when she was taken to the city for a check-up the lady-doctor told her that the child was in wrong position and they will deliver through big operation (meaning breech presentation and a need for a caesarean section )”
“I am poor and the operation will mean a heavy burden for our pockets. Moreover the big hospital is in the city which is at quite a distance from my village and I am very worried” he said gravely.
After a few questions I learned that it was the second pregnancy and the first one terminated normally with birth of a healthy baby.
I was glad to hear that because the normal delivery of the first child meant that any mechanical cause could be ruled out. From further probing all I could gather was that the mother to be was otherwise in good health.
I said, “look here, many cases of child in wrong position have been treated successfully and God-willing her case may also be resolved without the need for the big operation. Make preparations to leave soon”.
After a couple of days he was off, carrying the phial with Pulsatilla 200 and instructions to give a single dose of five to ten pellets first thing in the morning for three consecutive days and then stop. He was also instructed to dispense the pellets without touching them. It was necessary because villagers are not used to taking homeopathic medicines and usually take all pills by placing them in their palms before gulping them down.
Six days later he informed me on the phone that the medicine had been taken according to instructions. I advised him to wait for four days and then take her wife to city for an ultra sound check up. I kept my fingers crossed in the meanwhile
A week later I got the first good news. The fetus was now in a normal head-first position.
After a few days I had phone call from him brimming with excitement and joy, “Sir, today we had a healthy baby girl . The child was delivered at our home(by a midwife, which is the norm in most villages), it is all because you and the wonderful medicine that you gave us , I owe you much gratitude”
“Congrulations ! Your gratitude should all be to God almighty who made this all possible”
“ And yes after feasting and celebrations, make preparation to come backs soon because your one month leave is almost all use up” I reminded him jokingly as I also thanked the Almighty for everything.; ▶ Reply to This
